    • Did a speed listen (1.5x) and thought it was fairly consistent with Catholic tradition on the connection between demons and aliens.

    But the talk brought up more questions which I doubt Fr. Rip is prepared to answer:

    1. Why didn’t Fr. mention the strong media presence of Jєωιѕн propaganda in the alien/UFO narrative? 

    This is historic, from 1930’s comic books to Hollywood movies, all promoting the same “life on other planets” theme.

    2. Fr. Rip mentions that during his exorcisms, the demons he encountered knew they could not fool him on the topic of aliens.

    But since this priest is a consiliarist, and in light of Catholic tradition, we must ask:   
          Under what jurisdiction and which Bishops are authorizing you to exorcise demons ?

    3. And after a previous thoughtful analysis of the errors in Fr. Rip’s “Deliverance Prayers” by Lads… 
        
       it’s a safe bet that praying some of those questionable verses will bring aliens to your front porch, if not your bedroom.

    • I have Fr. R’s book of deliverance prayers. Some of them are a bit in left field.  They could possibly have the opposite effect of what he intended, like demonic visitors, well disguised. Like anything else, take it with a grain of salt.

    What? I'm not aware of any Catholic tradition about any connection between aliens and demons. First of all, the Church doesn't really talk about aliens except a few rare quotes from various popes or theologians over the years to deny that they exist at all.

    I've never seen any Catholic pre-Vatican 2 source admit aliens exist, or say they are demons, or talk about any connection between demons and the modern concept of aliens.

    • In order for there to be aliens there would have to be habitable exoplanets beyond our solar system.  Alpha Centauri is also a star system that could potentially support life. SETI started in 1999 and finished in 2020 without finding alien civilizations. Brother Guy Consolmagno director of the Vatican Observatory has treated this topic at length. Essentially if an alien was found, we would would have to baptize him. However, no conclusive evidence of alien life or civilization has been found. The Bible refers to Nephilim. Now as for the angelic and demonic, we are here because we believe in a higher metaphysical reality of what is unseen (2 Corinthians 4:18) and the principalities and powers (Ephesians 6:12). However, this is a separate issue since spiritual beings are not human and do not require baptism. This leads to questions of spiritual energy and what form an alien could take. However, in order to be a functioning and viable organism they would need a corporeal body rather than just being a spirit.
