Looks now like Ireland is about to remove the reference to blasphemy in it's constitution. May the Lord have mercy on our dead nation.

Were you expecting other than a solid "yes" vote on all three? The Ireland of the past is dead.

I listened to a sermon by Bishop Tissier the other day from 1992 where he described Ireland as being "The most Catholic nation in the world" but how we had now elected a woman, Mary Robinson, who was a liberal who planned on introducing abortion and divorce into Ireland.
I wish I could go back in time and stay there....

I'm eternally thankful that Almighty God took my grandmother from this earth years before she could see how far her homeland has fallen.
What stuns me is the speed at which Ireland went from an intensely Catholic culture to an utterly hedonistic cesspit on the verge of national ѕυιcιdє (even handing summer homes and spare rooms over to Mohammedan invaders). Of course, what's happened in Ireland has happened all over Europe, but nowhere with such haste from one extreme to the other.
One wonders if this is the fruit of "Irish Jansenism" - essentially the phenomenon being discussed in the "Trads Losing Their Children to the World" thread writ large on a societal scale. Was the Faith practiced, taught, and lived in Ireland in an excessively miserabilist manner, such that at the first taste of the novelties and "freedoms" of the world, a whole generation would sell their birthright for so meagre a mess of pottage? Was the predilection of the Irish for drink an indicator of a weakness in the Irish character - a potential for excess and indulgence - that the Church's enemies were able to exploit?
S. Patricius, ora pro nobis.

Ireland still felt relatively normal until about five years ago. I could walk across Dublin city centre with nearly never seeing a sodomite.
Then, the clergy and some bishops promoted a Yes in the Sodomy referendum in 2015.
In the recent abortion referendum, a bishop told me personally that pro-lifers were "horrible people, with disgusting images, that only annoy everyone".
We had an enormous campaign against abortion and still lost. The clergy were our greatest enemy in the campaign, forbidding us from handing out flyers outside Masses across Dublin. Many parish priests said it was a vote up to your conscience.
I really do think that the clergy have destroyed civilisation. I have now apostasised entirely from the Novus Ordo and hope I never have to deal with their wicked priests and bishops again.
Ireland will not be Catholic again until the clergy are put on a pyre.

If this video is accurate as to what the typical Irish look like today, then it is no wonder that Ireland has gone down the toilet:

The complete decadence of the west is directly proportional to women's "empowerment" (intrusion in politics, usurping of male societal roles, and utter corruption of the female mind).
It began with women's suffrage. It is not an exaggeration to say that Feminism has absolutely destroyed women in the west, and therefore, society as a whole. Society go as women go.

"Feminism" is nothing more than a war on femininity. Housewives and mothers are the enemy and "uncle Toms" to the feminists of today.
