Quote
If the issuebelongs the states, then it's not protected by the Constitution.
1. Yes and no.  The 2nd A is a constitutional protected right but every state has different gun laws.

2.  Mith is correct.  Roe granted the right to an abortion, a service, a medical procedure.  That’s how the courts viewed the issue.

Until there’s a federal law about “life begins at conception” or until SCOTUS takes up a case about this topic, then it’s not been (legally) decided.  Now that Roe is gone, such a case/law can exist.

This principle is an abomination, that citizens can vote for the "permissibility of abortion".  Unfortunately, that is the legacy left by "Catholic" (Ginsberg-loving) Scalia.

Impressed it took you this long to move the goalposts. :D

No the didn't.  They said that this issue belongs to the states and that pre-born life is not protected by the Constitution.
Those of us who have been on the front lines of pro-life since well before Roe, understand that we do not live in the world as we would like it to be. Instead, we live in reality.

Over 50 years ago, when we were unable to get a Constitutional Amendment protecting life, we realized that the only remaining alternative would be a state-by-state fight. That was the legal situation pre-Roe, and it is the situation now.

All this wishful thinking about what the SC should have done is coming from persons who have not been on the front lines of the battle and do not understand the legal realities put forth, and agreed upon by all pro-life Constitutional Attorneys.

Even Trump knew this during the debates when he predicted that he would appoint three Supreme Court judges and Roe would be overturned, and (sadly) that means the battle is now state-by-state.

Wrong.  Logic, people.  If the issue belongs the states, then it's not protected by the Constitution.  Issues that are protected by the Constitution are not amenable to state legislation.

Lad, you might be arguing against failures of the public high school “Government” class. They’ve clearly never read the Constitution. Amendment number 10 blows them completely out of the water.
