I say this because protesting abortion is like the litmus test for catholics. But, if abortion is only a symptom, then should it be our most important protest? Or, should our most important protest be the cause of this symptom? I think the cause of our problem is lust. And, catholics are the real movers and shakers in the world. So, our actions have the most influence. When catholics are not condeming nfp use/abuse or lustful near occasions then can we expect anything less than widespread abortion?
I read recently that Pope Gregory the Great was lamenting the practice of Mothers not breastfeeding their newborns but passing them to a maid to be nursed. And, he said this was the result of the men not wanting to halt sɛҳuąƖ relations with the mother/wife after the birth/until the child was weened. So, it sounds to me like lust was the cause of this practice that Pope Gregory disliked. I think that is right-headed. And, it wouldn't surprise me if lust(in this case spousal) is the cause of other problems(current) of ours. I think the problem is lust.
Now, what is the lustful action that catholics can "march" against? Because, if abortion is a symptom, then it has a cause. And, that cause falls under the category of lust.
I can see it now, the march against NFP Abuse! NFP catechisis in the NO is so shameful that it may be our ticket.
