That's a pretty low-grade lodge.  But if it's only for a small group it might be
okay.  It's more of a party spot for social gatherings.  

If the guy was building a lodge he would never have opened the door to
strangers.  And the fancy gate would not be put up until it's almost done.  I think
what's going on here is he's hoping Masons traveling will be impressed and offer
him financial assistance out of brotherly buddyship.  That's why he's got the gate
put up, to attract visitors, and that's why he was listening on the other side, in
hopes of luring in some donations.  

It's also the reason he got rid of the Christians, because they are not going to
be donating any money to him.  Simple.  He wants donations.

A lodge is a lot bigger, with more space for ceremonies, like a temple really.
It resembles a ѕуηαgσgυє - but has nothing to do with Judaism, okay?
