  • For years Big Labor has called anyone who opposes the closed shop or the right to strike as "anti-union" and "anti-working man." I find this quite amusing since I am a blue-collar worker myself and have bought products domestically and in union shops and yet I have been called the same thing by liberals. So let's take a look at the largest trade union organization in America the AFL-CIO and see how many vile views they have.

    Healthcare-

"Health care is a basic human right.  America’s labor movement has worked for more than a century for guaranteed high-quality health care for everyone.  The Affordable Care Act is a historic milestone on this journey, but we still have a long way to go.

America must continue moving forward toward a more equitable and cost-effective health care system. Moving forward means working with employers to demand health care payment and delivery reforms to control costs, allowing people of all ages to buy into the equivalent of Medicare through a public plan option and allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices.  Of course, the most cost-effective and equitable way to provide quality health care is through the social insurance model (“Medicare for All”), as other industrialized countries have shown.

The worst thing we could do is move backward by repealing the Affordable Care Act or its key provisions; privatizing Medicare or turning it into a voucher program; raising the Medicare eligibility age; increasing Medicare co-pays and deductibles or otherwise cutting Medicare benefits; or taxing employment-based health care benefits."

So it seems this is a support of Obamacare and Bush's Medicare prescription drug plan. Obviously healthcare is broken and needs to be fixed but this is like adding a sledgehammer to a glass window.

    To be continued...

  • On Education:

"Few issues strike home for working families as much as education for their children. To be equipped for life, every child needs and deserves high-quality education that is available to all—from early childhood through college. For schools to work, educators must have the support and resources they need to succeed and school buildings must be well-equipped and well-maintained. Our schools must serve all children, and comprehensive services and supports must be in place for students with the greatest needs. All students should have access to higher education and assistance paying for it so they are not barred from college or saddled with impossible debt when they leave.

Public schools and public school teachers have been under attack in recent years—from widespread efforts to shift public school funding to private school voucher programs, to attempts to privatize public schools, to moves by governors and state legislators to take bargaining rights from teachers and other school personnel. These attacks are designed to serve the 1 percent—CEOs who can profit from privatized systems and the wealthiest families—at the expense of the 99 percent of students who deserve the best."

So in other words this sounds like No Child Left Behind; let's get the National Education Association and the Department of Education involved more into public schools and let's destroy any option of school choice. By the way I don't think anyone has tried to "privatise" public schools, since they mostly speak of ending federal aid to public schools and leaving it to the states. Also the part of "every student having an opportunity for higher education" is affirmative action used to help Black and Hispanic kids to get into college at the expense of white kids.

  • Here is probably the most ironic and amusing bit;

    Immigration:

"The U.S. immigration system is broken—and U.S.-born workers as well as aspiring citizens are paying a heavy price. America needs to create an immigration process that works for working people—not a system that benefits corporate employers at the expense of everyone else.

Current U.S. immigration policy is a blueprint for employer manipulation and abuse, and both new American immigrants and American-born workers are suffering the consequences.

We say, “¡Basta Ya!” or “Enough Already!” That’s why the AFL-CIO supports a comprehensive, worker-centered approach as part of a common-sense immigration process.

Read the union movement's framework for creating a road map to citizenship."

The AFL-CIO actually supports more immigration just like Big Business! They support the exact same thing but they supposedly are against "the 1%"! Unions used to call any business who hired immigrants as scalawags but in 2000 the AFL-CIO came out in support of immigration to add immigrants to the union payroll.

  • Unions are like occults that work for the Democratic Party.    And many so called "Irish Catholics" are in the Union.
This one union guy who happens to be an Irish "catholic" councilman is also for gαy marriage and pro choice.

Illegal aliens equal votes and more social programs.

These people running our towns, our states and our country are a bunch of atheist traitors.

May God bless you and keep you
