Weird thing is, the eminent English philosopher Edmund Burke vouched for the veracity of many of the accounts described in Barruel's writing (i.e., Burke opposed the French ʀɛʋօʟutιօn because he feared it spreading to England, and therefore sought to publicize the Memoirs).  Scoffers dismiss the entire work as cօռspιʀαcʏ theory, yet many of the most eminent personas of the time corroborated it.

Yep, I just recently added that to my reading list. It's funny how Barruel has been dismissed by "historians" as a "conspiracy theorist" when the man spoke the truth about what was going on.
