The 1st January will mark the 60th anniversary of the death of Seán South. He was killed by the English police in 1957. If he were alive today he would be in his late 80s and I firmly believe he would be a resistor.
In his native Limerick he established a branch of Maria Duce which was founded by the 'pure saint' Father Denis Fahey. South was active in the Legion of Mary.
He wrote to the local newspapers outlining the Jєωιѕн/Communist influence and control of Hollywood and society in general.
Seán South understood the question of money and addressed economics according to the social teachings of the church. All in all a great man. Fergal O'Hanlon, who was killed with him was also a deeply religious youth.
Seán South is an example to us all. I was able to pray at his grave yesterday. I shall share a few photographs.
Young people particularly Catholic youth here in Ireland and around the world should follow the example of Seán South. A real Catholic patriot.
