6 stabbed at Jerusalem gαy pride march — allegedly by Orthodox Jєω who just got out of prison for similar attack
A ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ-hating Orthodox Jєω stabbed six marchers Thursday at Jerusalem’s annual gαy pride parade before he was wrestled to the ground.

Yishai Schlissel, who had recently been released from prison for stabbing several people at a gαy pride parade in 2005, attacked without warning as the marchers were going through the Jєωιѕн side of the divided city, police spokeswoman Luba Samri said.

Dressed in a dark suit, Schlissel stabbed several people in the back as cheers turned to screams and blood spattered on the street.

“I saw an ultra-Orthodox youth stabbing everyone in his way,” witness Shai Aviyor told Israel's Channel 2 television. “We heard people screaming, everyone ran for cover, and there were bloodied people on the ground.”

While medics rushed in to take care of the wounded, police officers on horseback corralled the bearded suspect before he could do more harm, Samri said.

The was a “massive” police presence at the parade but “unfortunately the man managed to pull out a knife and attack,” said another police flak, Asi Ahroni.

A woman in her 20s who had been stabbed in the back, neck and chest was in critical condition at Shaarei Tzedek hospital, officials said. That hospital was also treating a man in his 20s for knife wounds.

The names, locations and conditions of the other victims were not immediately known.

Police said Schlissel had been released three weeks ago from prison.

The leaders of Israel’s ultra-Orthodox parties joined Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in condemning the attack.

“People celebrating their freedom and expressing their identity were viciously stabbed,” Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said. “We must not be deluded, a lack of tolerance will lead us to disaster. We cannot allow such crimes, and we must condemn those who commit and support them.”

Once Schlissel was hauled off by police and the panic subsided, the parade resumed — this time reinforced by thousands of Jerusalem residents outraged by the bigoted attack who marched in solidarity with the gαys and lesbians.

“I do think that homophobia is rooted in the city, but that’s the point of the parade,” Benny Zupick, 21, told the Associated Press shortly after the attack. “We are trying to change that. And hopefully we will change that. It takes one man to create a scene like this. Hopefully he’s a minority.”

Unlike its Arab neighbors, Israel is a gαy-friendly country and last month’s gαy pride march in Tel Aviv drew 100,000 revelers.

But Jerusalem is a far more conservative city and most residents are either observant Jєωs or Palestinians who practice their Muslim and Christian religions.

In previous years, ultra-Orthodox Jєωs in Jerusalem have staged loud protests against the gαy pride parade.

They tried to  burn down a Catholic church a few weeks ago. They also attacked a Mosque. The state of Israel appears to be the most intolerant place on Earth.  Remember these events when you're accused by Jєωs of being an αnтι-ѕємιтє.
