  • Half of all four-year, residential Catholic colleges in the U.S. are within five miles of Planned Parenthood facilities

    Quote
Half of all four-year, residential Catholic colleges in the U.S. are within five miles of Planned Parenthood facilities, a study by The Cardinal Newman Society has found. Catholic pro-life leaders warn that the close proximity of these Planned Parenthood centers threatens the well-being of students and the culture of Catholic campuses.

Planned Parenthood is, by its mission, directly opposed to Catholic values on sɛҳuąƖity, artificial contraception and abortion. Many of its centers perform abortions and distribute contraceptives.

In its review of 188 four-year, residential Catholic colleges in the U.S., The Cardinal Newman Society found that 92, or 49 percent, are within five miles of a Planned Parenthood facility. Of these, 13 are within one mile or less, 37 are within 1.1-3 miles and 42 are within 3.1-5 miles (see tables below).

“Catholic colleges didn’t invite this situation, but they can respond by demonstrating genuine concern for their students and fighting Planned Parenthood’s attempts to lure students to their centers,” said Patrick Reilly, president of The Cardinal Newman Society.  ....

  • First of all, the colleges that say they are catholic, are not catholic. They are NOT catholic.  The Dioceses are on their boards, as long as they take the name "catholic" and Faith -based institutions keep the name for looks as they take the federal $$$ and dioceses do the agenda of communism with fed $$.

Don't fool yourselves or take these articles for truth.  Truth is: dioceses take Fed $$$ and support Planned Parenthood.  Yes, that is true.

How many times proof has shown this with the so-called catholic charities.  Even food banks are in partnerships and keep that catholic look for your almighty $$.

  • It's not surprising.  Most Novus Ordo colleges are located in major urban areas, where there are undoubtedly abortion facilities.

  • When I was attending a Catholic university, the priest who taught theology and gave the weekly Sunday sermon would tell the college girls not to be too demanding in expecting their fiance to be a virgin.  Most of the college girls were not virgins either.

They would tell us not to be holier than the Pope as if virtue was unbecoming.

Yet if a girl was found to be pregnant, she would have to leave the dorm because she would be a scandal to the other students. So, while the university would have a reputation as pro-life, they were in effect pro-choice.

    Lord have mercy.
