No, I think they were fined for falsifying docuмents, that is, fraud.
I am surprised how little regard many Roman Rite trads give to fraud. False tax returns, lies at border crossings, false statements on building permits (often not applying for permits when required). boasting about false reports on the job, and so on.
Well, the Vatican issued falsified baptismal certificates to Jєωs. I don't have any issue whatsoever with presenting a falsified docuмent when they're dead set on poisoning people and persecuting them if they don't accept the poison. False tax returns are wrong, etc. ... but this is unjust and harmful, and there's no issue with presenting a fake docuмent. This isn't anywhere near the same category as those other scenarios. There's no inherent lie in the docuмent. It's a physical mental reservation. I hand them the card. It is what it is, a card that I myself filled out. If I don't aver that this was signed by an actual medical professional, then it's no lie ... no different than when children play with fake money. Now, if I were using it to defraud someone of something, i.e. tried to pass counterfeit money off as real to gain unjust possession of merchandise, that's a sin. But to present it to someone who has no right to force me to take this jab or to persecute me if I do not ... there's zero issue with that.
This is classic mental reservation in physical form, and there's no "fraud" when you're not "defrauding" anyone of something they have a right to. There are even laws on the books in this nation that clearly state that they do not have any right to our medical information, that it's private ... and they are in violation of those laws by demanding the jab cards and then persecuting those who do not produce them.
