    • has anybody heard about this theory that there is going to be a 10 day media blackout?

    • Just IMO, we really need not to be spreading rumors like that right now.  I'm assuming this would mean a "kill switch" on the Internet, assuming the US has a way to do that.  Anything short of that would really defeat the purpose.

    During WWII --- and if everything is the way TPTB tell us it is, this situation has a lot of parallels with WWII --- people were warned not to start or spread rumors.  Granted, then we had an enemy who could use this as intelligence against us --- viruses can't do intelligence gathering --- but I still don't think it's a good idea.

    Just my 002.

    I am merely asking if anyone else has heard about this because I heard someone talking about it but have not been able to confirm, but someone just said it came from a q post...I think that if we can't be honest on such a forum as this and that we have to be afraid of offending someone then what is the point of this forum?

    I fully understand wanting to know, and forums such as this one, being one of the few places where you could ask about something such as this.  Quite frankly, I'd like to know myself.  But I don't know how we discuss such things online, without it becoming rumor-spreading.  There are no easy answers.  We will just have to wait and see.

    I am beginning to regret selling my ham radio equipment.  I had to buy things for my son a few years back --- necessities --- and I needed the money.  I might end up buying a Baofeng on the off chance that it would halfway decently serve the purpose via repeaters.

    • I don't think they want to disrupt their perpetual current of brainwashing. Perhaps an indefinte blackout of the internet because the truth is more or lesss available on the internet.
