Hebert, I am not sure if you have read the very stuff which you have posted.  But there is heretical nonsense on this website unfortunately; and this is the case with most "Catholic websites."  Fr. Doyle, in his Q and A session ("Believe it; there is an actual literal hell"), says that non-Catholics can go to Purgatory, and this is heretical rubbish.  Fr. Doyle, like just about every priest in America, is scared to say that there is no salvation outside the Church.  He does not want to tell Cindy, "Well Cindy, I am sorry, only good Catholics go to heaven."  This is a defined doctrine that one must be a Catholic if he wants to be saved.

Fr. Doyle quotes the New Catechism of the Catholic Church, a docuмent which is riddled with heresies.  In the article he tells the enquirer, "Anyone who dies in the friendship of God goes to Purgatory."  What he implies is that one can be a friend of God while remaining outside the Church, and this is heretical drivel.
