I am leaving [the Facebook group, "Traditional Catholics in Support of the Tridentine Latin Mass"] within a few days. I am a protestant and I have always gone to evangelical and reformed churches. The last couple of years have been a time of searching for me. I have been investigating Catholicism and I have come to the understanding that practicing catholic and orthodox Christians are 'real' Christians just like protestants are (sorry for speaking from a protestant perspective). From a theological perspective I have not found enough reasons to leave Protestantism and in Catholicism I find to many things that I cannot consider biblical. I do however realize that protestants need to understand that they have inherited many things from the Catholic church and cannot claim that everything they do has its origins directly from scripture. But I do consider evangelical churches more closer to biblical ecclesiology than catholic and orthodox churches.

Complaining that the Catholic Church isn't 100% biblical? Who told you the true church must be 100% biblical? WHO SAYS that the Bible is the 1 rule of faith? In fact, the Bible itself says that the Bible is not 100% sufficient, or the be-all-end-all of religion. Tradition is equally important. "Faith comes by hearing" not "Faith comes by reading." A LOT more people used to be illiterate as recently as 150 years ago. The Canon of the Bible wasn't finalized (by the Catholic Church I might add) until decades after Christ -- how did people get their rule of life in the first 1 or 2 centuries A.D.? And how many bibles -- and literate individuals -- existed before Gutenberg's printing press? Some food for thought.

One of the earliest approximations of a Bible was the Vetus Itala or Vetus Latina which meant collections of the Septuagint and various and variable translations of the NT. Some elements of it remain in the Mass, for instance the well known one is how we say quotidianum panem instead of supersubstantialem panem of Matthew or Luke. Protestants can thank the cultured Pope St Damasus for commissioning St Jerome to compile and translate, although they did later dump roughly ten books of it in order to conceal how their heresies is not supported by the Bible.

One thing to always mention is the Church compiled the Bible. How then can anyone claim to know what it means better than the Church?

Well, it certainly wasn't the Bible. So the allegation that the Church must be 100% contained in the Bible is itself un-Biblical. In fact, passages in the Bible (as cited by Matthew) state the exact opposite, that we should hold fast to the traditions, that Our Lord said and did so many things that are not contained in the Bible, etc.
