Pope Francis will visit Ireland next year as the World Meeting of Families will take place in Dublin. The very pro Institute of Christ the King newspaper 'Catholic Voice' publishes interesting articles by a John Lacken. He poses the question what must we do regarding this World Meeting of Families. It should be remembered Ireland may have a referendum on abortion in 2018 also.
"Some have suggested a boycott of the World Meeting of Families. I do not think that this will have any impact and I think that it would also politicise the issue and give ammunition to the world's media to further attack the Catholic church" John Lacken
His organisation The Lumen Dei Institute will host the World Meeting of Catholic Families. A conference on marriage and family life.
Mr Lacken also writes "We will not let it be said by future historians, that in Dublin, Ireland, in August of 2018, there was no voice found to proclaim the authentic, magisterial truths of the Catholic church on marriage and family life".
His article is worth reading with great emphasis on Casti Connubi.
Ideally we need to do up a leaflet and stand outside the venue in Dublin. I have no doubt the resistance will circulate some newsletters, pamphlets. Even an A5 size leaflet shared locally could have an impact. I would like a link to Cath Info on the leaflet.
