Final reaction:  bored.

Who in their right mind would read this 192-page bunch of nonsense?  Catholic theology regarding man's relationship with God's other creation can be summed up quite profoundly in 2-3 paragraphs.  Doesn't the Church have bigger issues to deal with, like rampant heresy?

I am currently working my way through "LS" and my general reaction is just overwhelming boredom.

I actually tried to read his first "Encyclical"; but it was so badly written from the standpoint of composition, with one non-sequitur thought following another, that it almost literally gave me a headache and I had to stop.
