  • From Rorate: http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2013/03/for-record-girl-among-12-inmates-whose.html

    Quote from: Rorate Caeli Blog
Pope Francis, who often prefers to call himself "bishop of Rome" for the little ones, those who suffer, and the poor, will celebrate today the rite of the washing of the feet in the juvenile penitentiary of Casal del Marmo. Among the twelve young inmates whose feet he will wash will also be a girl, perhaps two. "In Buenos Aires, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio also admitted girls to the rite. And we proposed today a female presence. In the Vatican, after some resistance, they accepted it," said Father Gaetano Greco, the chaplain of the facility, where the Pontiff will arrive this afternoon.

"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Pretty messed up, considering that the ceremony is supposed to remind us of the 12 Apostles -- who were 100% male.

That was God's choice. Who is a lunatic enough to call Him sexist? He made the sexes male and female, and he made them different on purpose! It's modern liberal man that is insane.

On another forum, someone drew attention to the fact that we don't even know if the persons having their feet washed are Catholic, or even Christian.  In which case, the ceremony represents Christ as having disciples of all religions-- which is even more frightening than the untoward and modernist notion of having a woman represent an apostle.

They don't call him the new world pope for nothin'!

  • Pope Francis washing of feet

    Quote
Most of the inmates at the institute are foreign-born and Muslim or atheist.

The 12 prisoners who will have their feet washed will be chosen from different nationalities and religious confessions. It is not clear whether any of the inmates chosen to take part in the washing ceremony are female.

While Bergoglio has washed women's feet in past ceremonies, traditionalists would be riled by such a gesture as they hold that the disciples were all male.
It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

  • Hopefully the ladies will run out and get fresh pedicures with bright red polish!  What could be more humble?

  • The Telegraph reports that not only will there be non-Catholics there, but that most of the inmates are Muslims and Atheists!

Francis will begin the day with a solemn chrism mass in St. Peter's Basilica at 0830GMT, before travelling to the prison where he will hold the afternoon Lord's Supper mass with 35 male and 11 female offenders, aged from 14 to 21.

  • Notice how they will be chosen from different religions.  Not that a Muslim incidentally participating in this ceremony would be much of an excuse, but there is an added heinousness in positively choosing a variety of non-believers to represent the apostles (as opposed to just negligently allowing 'anyone' or randomly choosing).

  • Imagine the PR office at the detention facility answering journalists with
hundreds of questions, all trying to get an answer to whether or not any
females will be among the foot-washing group.  For them to not get any
answer to that question means that the staff was thoroughly REHEARSED
on not answering any question that comes close to that.  This was planned.

You answer that question, you lose your job -  that would do it.

    As for the "chosen" part...

    Quote from: Mithrandylan

They could just say, "For many are called but few chosen" (Matt. xx. 16).

    So it's biblical.

That's how Mahony got all the NovusOrdo churches in L.A. to change their
procedure for Communion, so that even today, the ushers stand guard in the
aisles and direct those in the vestibule to come forward to receive first, then
work their way up starting with the last pews in the back.  Everyone is looking
over their shoulder to see what's going on behind them during Communion.
And not a few stragglers who had no intention of receiving Communion end
up coming forward, following the uninformed direction of the stupid ushers,
and many of those are not even Catholic.  That's the story.

And the reason?  "So shall the last be first, and the first last. For many are
called, but few chosen" (Matt. xx. 16).

Mahony voted in the conclave.  And he was front row center at Francis' first
    Newmass.

  • This is disgusting.

The apostles were not convicts or inmates. They could have been Hindus or Buddhists or whatever. He was kissing their feet in a groteseque way.

Jesus washed the apostles' feet, he didn't kiss them did he? And they were not delinquents or criminals.

Pope Francis is going nowhere imo. He's on a short NWO leash.

  • I like that the group chosen is diverse.  It represents how the church is inclusive and relevant in the current world we live in.  Kissing of the feet is nothing new or strange.  These acts by the pope are in line with the work he has done his entire adult life.  These convicts symbolize the sinner in all of us.  Jesus helped lepers but the pope can't wash the feet of inmates?

Jesus chose the Apsotles and they were not criminals, muslims, or atheists, and they were not dumb. They were not lepers either. Disrespect of the Apostles has been at times common V2 jokes and fun, and it is disgusting.

The Apostles, except the traitor, are far above the ontological level of this V2 Pope Francis and far above all the liberal diversity of this stupid world.

To draw any parallel between this idiotic V2 ceremony and Jesus's teaching the Apostles to follow him and not the things and approval of this world is very low and simply off, imo.

  • Meh, just another Novus Ordo innovation - fling this one on the heap with the rest of them.

    Sad.

Perhaps this is what was being referred to in the following message given last March 14th to the seer known as Mary of the Divine Mercy:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Too many heresies in this message to be taken seriously.

  • Since the pope is the supreme legislator, he can said aside any merely ecclesiastical law.  The second canon in the code says exactly that.  I may not like the fact that he washed women;s feet, but it seems to me that he is free to do it.

The fact that he would include non-Catholics in an act of Catholic worship is impossible to defend, however.
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir
