  • In a statement to a UN session on the advancement of women, the Vatican’s representative has argued that the welfare of women “should not be measured merely by the criterion of equality with men.”

Archbishop Bernardito Auza said that “the fight in favor of advancement of women should also be a fight for better conditions for mothers.”

The Vatican envoy welcomed reports of declines in maternal and infant mortality as a sign of genuine advance in the conditions that women face. But he observed that women around the world still face many severe difficulties, including poverty and lack of access to education and health care. The archbishop expressed special concern about violence against women, particularly in the context of warfare.

Sometimes a good jest is all that is needed to cut a line of Modernist bull droppings to the quick.

A thumbs up for you, madam.

I didn't think that discussing the welfare of women was modernist. The archbishop was speaking in favor of better conditions for mothers. The archbishop was talking in the context of the welfare of women being judged differently than that of the welfare of men.

First off, why is a Catholic bishop making pleas before an organization that is one of the prime bodies paving the way for Antichrist and the NWO the selfsame organization, you will recall, that Paul VI surrendered the papal tiara to (so you'll forgive me if I hold Church-UN relations with more than a little suspicion).

Second - what kind of "education" do you think the UN would work to provide for women? What kind of "health care" do you suppose those population-stifiling, baby murdering One Worlders would strive to make available?

When will the Church finally break off relations with the forerunners of Antichrist? When the Man of Perdition is enthroned in Jerusalem, will archbishops come before him in the Temple, grovelling on hand and knee, asking for secular handouts?

I await your issue-dodging NO party line toeing answer, laced with generous amounts of false piety.

  • Mine's worth $1,979,737.04

That's what it would cost to replace her.

Wow--is this figurative or literal?  I didn't know this.

Somewhere in between, but close enough to literal for the truth of the statement to stand.

    From TIA:

After the celebration of a Byzantine Mass on November 13, 1964, during the 3rd session of Council Vatican II, Paul VI descended the steps of the papal throne in St. Peter's Basilica and laid the tiara on the altar in a theatrical gesture, symbolically renouncing to the richness of the papal office. Picture at right.

He ordered that the tiara be sold and the money given to the poor. Card. Francis Spellman of New York provided the necessary funds for its acquisition. It remained for some time at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, and today it is permanently displayed at the crypt of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington.

So far, we don't have any datum that allows us to affirm without a doubt that after that ceremony in St. Peter's Basilica and before the acquisition by Card. Spellman, the Pope sent it to the UN. The report of Paul VI's gesture in L'Osservatore Romano (November 14, 2008) does not refer to this alleged donation. We would appreciate receiving a serious report certifying that this donation took place.

What we can affirm with certainty is that on October 4, 1965, on his visit to the UN in New York, during the 4th session of Vatican II, Paul VI gave a papal cross and a papal ring to the General Secretary of the United Nations, Mr. U Than, with the same aim: that they be sold and the money given to the poor.

  • Those are the facts, but in retrospect we can see it was much more than selling items for the poor, more like an official act of conquest and usurpation.

Yes, context is everything, and in the context of Gaudium et Spes, it is clear that the Temporal Authority of the papacy was being surrendered to that selfsame NWO (beta version) governmental body that John F Kennedy blasphemously called mankind's "last, best hope."

  • Here is the tiara, sorry for the blurry photo. Doing lots of good there in DC feeding the poor and improving conditions for women, as you can see from the picture.
