Some very heart-rending stories from women who just can't control themselves.

Never mind that the Church has NEVER allowed priests to marry AFTER ordination.

At the very least Francis might consider letting them receive Holy Communion.

    Quote
"We love these men, they love us, and in most cases, despite all efforts to renounce it, one cannot manage to give up such a solid and beautiful bond," they wrote. "We humbly place our suffering at your feet in the hope that something may change, not just for us, but for the good of the entire Church," unnamed women continued in the letter that was first reported by the website Vatican Insider.
    ...
"Very little is known about the devastating suffering of a woman who is deeply in love with a priest." The women write.

    Will this work?
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

  • Isn't this how "Communion" in the hand started? It wouldn't surprise me if Francis "studied" it. After all, he's so full of...surprises.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

  • In reality , their arguments are the same as the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs. "We are in love; we simply can't control ourselves." It would be a perfect segway for 'Who-am-I-to-Judge-them-Francis.

  • And the kicker is how they refer to the relationship as "a solid and beautiful bond".  How can mortal sin (added to sacrilege in the case of a priest) ever lead to anything "solid and beautiful"?

Kasper the Friendly Heretic will find a way to accommodate them, I'm sure.

You know, sin is one thing.  People are weak and then sin.  God knows that we have all sinned.  What's irritating is the attempt to LEGITIMIZE sin.

I vote YES for the new smiley!

The unclean spirit of Vatican II has many faces  -- but the Sodomite face and the "let's all have married priests" face are two faces of the same monster, the same beast.

Just think, the next phase will be 'ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ marriage' for priests.  And they'll have the same "oh-how-beautiful-it-is" canard about that.  There is nothing new under the sun.

The perfect segue to the "Who-am-I-to-judge" Jorge.

    True.

More disordered modern sentimentalism to justify just about everything, not matter how vicious.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

That is not true. Francis qualified his "Who am I to judge" statement with the caveat that the person be of good will and honestly searching for God. These women are publicly living in objective mortal sin. They don't appear to be sorry. I don't percieve much good will.

St theresa of Avila described an incident in which a priest was in one of these relationships. The woman used witchcraft to bring this about. The only thing beautiful about this was when Jesus told her that his love for her (Theresa) was so great that he was willing to allow himself to pass through the hands of this priest in order for her (Theresa) to recieve him (Jesus) in Holy Communion.

    .

This type of behaviour has nothing to do with Vatican II. It has everything to do with infedility to one's promises whicn were made to God.
