Bishop Williamson on Rights and Duties. Forgive me if this was already posted. We should all refer to the Novus Ordo as the "Mickey Mouse Mass" as Williamson does. I don't hear it often enough.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  • What is that show?  Host comes off as disrespectful to Bishop Williamson.

In any case, just started listening and again he refers to Bergoglio as "what looks like the Catholic pope".  He's looking less and less like a Catholic pope the more time goes by.

I'm hearing that even the middle-of-the-road, aka "moderate", and even liberal types of bishops are unhappy with the tone of this Motu in that they find it insulting.  At the beginning he says the Bishops are in charge of the Liturgy, but then Bergoglio proceeds to micromanage what they can and cannot do.

13:13 - 14:44  "St. Pius X was a true pope, and this is a false pope.  Whenever he talks nonsense, he is a false pope.  I don't doubt that ... I don't myself doubt that he's pope, ALTHOUGH I SURELY UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO DO, seriously doubt it to the point that they don't believe any longer that he is pope, because he's doing things like this.  He's the greatest recruiter for sedevacantism that the sedevacantists could dream of, if they wanted to dis, if they wanted to disbelieve in the pope, [he's the] greatest recruiting agent for sedevacantism, but sedevacantism ... let's not go down that rabbit hole.  I don't myself believe that sedevacantism is true, but I do understand those people who are sedevacantists, moderate ones, not the extreme ones, but the moderate ones I do understand.  They would lose their Catholic faith if they had to believe that Pope Francis is a Catholic pope.  They can't believe it.  They just can't believe it, and they've got no other way out of what looks like a trap than to deny that he's pope.  There are other ways out of it; again, we need not go into that now.  I don't have to say that Pope Francis is not pope because he's produced this nonsense, this stupidity, this this ... Catholics don't have to obey him ..."

See, Sean, unlike yourself, Bishop Williamson understands sedevacantists.

Eh, he is saying they are wrong, but he understands why they think they are right (even though they aren't, and he disagrees with them).

    I understand sedes too.

And like BW, I disagree with them.

    What's new here???

No, you're a dogmatic R&R.  You don't simply "disagree with" sedevacantists.

47:52  The Jєωs are the number one instruments of Satan for the undermining and crippling of the Catholic Church.

He's never worried about being PC nor tripping over himself, like +Fellay did, disowning a statement that the Jєωs are enemies of the Church.

  • I've really enjoyed this discussion, and especially the constant humility and compassion Bp. Williamson exhibits for the enemies of Christ, especially his reminder to the hosts when they started going off about the NO bishop using apps to feed their fαɢɢօtry.

  • I remember a few years ago when Fr Chazal referred to that fraudster ‘Bishop Moron’ as a ‘Mickey Mouse’.

Wonder who said it first  :laugh1:

He is basically espousing the same attitude that the Archbishop had toward sedevacantism. The good bishop understands the principles involved, but it seems he is unwilling to jump off the diving board (just yet).

Seems like Bergoglio is pushing him closer to the edge.  There have been two other occasions now where he said that Bergoglio "seems to be" the pope.

  • It’s good to see how rock solid Williamson is against sedevacantism, always reiterating how he does not agree with it.

    Remarkable consistency and steadfastness.
