  • Do you hope that the Great Schism between the Church and the Orthodox will be healed before the 1,000th anniversary?!

    I hope!

  • I would venture to say that it is potentially sinful not to pray for it to happen as soon as possible!  There are a lot of souls in the Orthodox Church and there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

  • How can a human being on earth determine who is truly in the Church?

I wasn't aware that Christ gave us a way to truly know.

Maybe there was a meeting I am unaware of??

The great St. Augustine didn't know. He commented a lot on the "visible" and "invisible" church.

(from Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis Christi:)

    (1)  A rationalistic or purely sociological understanding of the Church, according to which she is merely a human organization with structures and activities, is mistaken. The visible Church and its structures do exist but the Church is more, as she is guided by the Holy Spirit:

Although the juridical principles, on which the Church rests and is established, derive from the divine constitution given to it by Christ and contribute to the attaining of its supernatural end, nevertheless that which lifts the Society of Christians far above the whole natural order is the Spirit of our Redeemer who penetrates and fills every part of the Church.

    [however,]

    (2) An exclusively mystical understanding of the Church is mistaken as well, because a mystical "Christ in us" union would deify its members and mean that the acts of Christians are simultaneously the acts of Christ. The theological concept una mystica persona (one mystical person) refers not to an individual relation but to the unity of Christ with the Church and the unity of its members with him in her.

The Church subsists in the Roman Catholic Church.

  • Which particular sede vacante group do you hail from?

Do you think that Michelangelo is in hell and that all popes since him are too?

Or do you not like V2, because it sheds light onto what the CHurch has always believed and shows that your preconceived notions about the teachings of the Church were false?

    Maybe you don't like V1?

Maybe you think the Queen of England is an alien?

    Maybe you like hell?

  • By what authority do you pass judgment on the CHURCH?!

    To quote a saint:

If I see black, and the Church tells me it's white, I will believe it's white."

To quote sede vacante and other heretics:

"I will obey the Church ONLY if She obeys my teaching first."
(In other words, the only obedience to a heretic is self-obedience.)

If you reject V2, why not "examine" earlier councils??

Puff up your pride and let your sin reach to heaven.

the rest of this is emoting crappola and has little to do with posts-congrads, you are about to surpass Uriel for dumb crap......

answer the question-what have you decided? as you are not Christian yet, if I recall right your posts previous, then are you going down the road to Rome or Orthodox

if you are going to quote a saint, how about let the rest of us know whom  it is?????

No pride, V2 is crap, plenty have said so......as you sound like Uriel or Orthodox, what do you give about V2 anyway??

as far as your reference to sin an dHell, that is rich as you have not even bothered to man up and tell us what you ahve chosen, Barq of Peter or heresy/schism, which will NOT lead to Heaven....and is full of prideful "non servium"

    Uriel, you got friends!!

  • I don't mean this to step on toes. It's not about ego or pride at all.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Give me a quote teaching from V2 you think contradicts earlier councils, and I will prove it wrong, God willing.
