  • Lads, hows it going. Love ye all.
Guess what. I am staying up all night to catch an early train to get to confession tomorrow (or today, it is 3am).
Have not been in 3+ years. Might have to explain my postings on cathinfo to priest if asked.
So 3 years. Iv'e done a lot of what they call sins in that time.
I don't particularly enjoy doing a sin. The appeal of achieving self mastery is something im interested in now.
especially since i struggle to conform to society.

Here is a bouncing green sphere to represent my emotional state at present on this matter.
    :jumping2:
It represents a sort of anxious melancholy and juvenile almost mischievous anticipation.
The priest will turn into a skeleton with all I have to say perhaps.
But friendly chat is no harm, even if I get scolded.

  • Did you tell the priest you were coming? It would be polite to give him a heads up.

    No. It is a surprise.
Priests should expect surprises from God.

  • May Almighty God help you to make a good Confession, and persevere in His grace all the days of your life. Confession is truly a wonderful gift from God!
Please disregard everything I have said; I have tended to speak before fact checking.

I don't know who you will be visiting, but many trad priests travel.  I hope you don't miss him if he does.

I agree.  Priests should not need a prior warning.  Now, if for some reason, you'll need to take an inordinate amount of time and prevent others from going, it might be wise to make a separate appointment.  Nevertheless, a good Confessor who was preaching a mission once told everyone publicly that even a full-life general Confession needn't take more than 5-10 minutes.  Sure if someone has been away for a while, the numbers would be higher.  But it doesn't take that much longer to say "one thousand" than it does "fifteen".  Separate that from a more thorough spiritual direction.  There are limited kinds of sins.  Just mention the kind and the approximate number.  Not every detail or circuмstance is necessary for the Sacrament ... that would be more for spiritual direction.

No I was overcome by a flood of negative emotions at the last minute.
    :(
    Felt bad about not going.
But whoever is sending me threats of doom might ambush me,
and if i go with humility I will get bullied.
Im not yet convinced i should allow myself to be bullied because it is virtuous to suffer in silence and humility.
I have changed from the past. My old ways did not serve me.

  • and as for Mary my exfriend. If you read this, no hard feelings.
I expect betrayal from people so invested in their own cult.
It is a shame that so many women are in this cult, resolved to unhappy futures.

I will preach humanity to anyone stuck in that world of shadows you call the "church".
    Poor things.
Btw I also think that celibacy is the most selfish thing you can do.
You have a duty to your ancestors to pass on the torch.
Vanity. Your religion is nothing but vanity.

You're bonkers, as we say here in the U.S.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."
