You are laboring under (yet another) misconception. You keep making false connections. What you are saying is:

If the Church has a bad council it is defeated.
But Vatican II was a bad council.
Therefore the Church is defeated.

That is not true at all - the first proposition above is false - the church is not defeated if it has a bad council.

The Church is still there - the Pope is still there. We are undergoing a terrible crisis, but the Church has not been defeated. Every day millions of people go to the true Mass with Bishops and Priests who are legitimately ordained. The Eastern Rites continue mostly untouched by this awful Western disaster. That is hardly the image of a Church over which Satan has prevailed.

where it has always been-there have been bad councils in the past, does not mean the whole thing is out the window if V2 is one of those bad ones-and it is....

What would happen if during a crisis, Pope died and a new one could not be elected for months or yrs-would we not go on anyway?
