  • Where are they, popes, cardinals, priests and nuns? Here in Ireland the people, the majority 'Catholics' are about to remove the only rights of the unborn from the Irish constitution. Every single day the media are urging more and more to vote away these right in order to be able to bring in abortion into Ireland. In Germany and Switzerland they have animal rights in their constitutions. Sick isn't it, animals with more rights than unborn human beings?
I have written to newspapers but my letters are never published. Here is why:

‘Nowadays, the vast majority of human beings in all countries are at the mercy of the newspapers for information about the world. And the newspapers mislead them atrociously. “Journalism,” writes G. K. Chesterton “is a false picture of the world, thrown upon a lighted screen in a darkened room so that the real world is not seen and the unreal world is seen… We live under secret government, conducted by a secret process called Publicity.” (G.K’s Weekly, December 3rd, 1932.)

‘A New York editor, John Swinton, during an annual dinner of the New York Press Association, declared: “There is no such thing as an independent Press in America [Europe etc.]. You know this and I know it. Not a man among you dares to utter his honest opinion. Were you to utter it, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print…The man who would be so foolish as to write his honest opinion would soon be on the streets in search of another job… these men pull the strings, and we dance. Our time, our talents our lives, our capacities are all the property of these men; we are intellectual prostitutes.”’ (Fr Denis Fahey: The Mystical Body of Christ in the Modern World, Regina Publications Ltd., Dublin, 1954, pp xi-xii.)

Like the media, the clergy of the Catholic Church are just the same. In Dublin, Archbishop Martin told his 'effeminate Vatican II Novus Ordos NOT TO INTERFERE IN POLITICS. I have not heard of one cardinal, bishop or priest in the world today tell that miserable flock that to vote for this abortion will mean one partisipates in every soul murdered and prevented from Baptism and the Beatific vision God created them for. Imaging when dead at the door of Heaven, Jesus asking them why do you think you can get into heaven when you have voted to murder unborn and PREVENT millions of them getting here?

Then there is that 'joke of a pope' Francis. The Catholic Church have arranged his 'meeting of families' in August, AFTER the referendum. The newspapers here in Ireland are full of the 'pope's' visit in August when he will meet personally with our ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ primeminister. 'The Pope is looking forward to his visit,' the papers tell us. BUT NOT A WORD OUT OF HIM ABOUT THE ABORTION REFERENDUM. No, he will talk about global warming or letting in more young male muslims to dechristianise what is left of Irish Christianity. Any pope worth their salt would REFUSE to come to a country that voted for 'same-sex marriage' and a year later abortion. That is what that jopke of a pope should be telling our queer politicians.

I often wondered about the skulls of clergy carpeting the floors of hell as said by Our Lady of Fatima. Now I know why.

Very good quotes and very apropos!  I think it was Chesterton who said words to the effect that if he ever had a daughter who became a prostitute he would never give up on trying to save her, but that if he ever had a daughter who became a journalist he would abandon all hope for her after 6 months.

  • Thank you for those quotes.

C.K. Chesterton and C.S. Lewis tried to awaken the silent majority through their novels.

It is too bad that more people did not heed the advice of Fr. Denis Fahey. I am requoting it from the OP bolding the important information.

    .
It's amazing that Fr. Fahey saw things so clearly so long ago. He must have been a bit of a prophet.
Wasn't he with the Holy Ghost Fathers, the same order ABL was in?

I think so. As a boy I went to Blackrock College in Dublin, Holy Ghost Fathers School. In those days there was a 98% priest and brother teachers. I was there when ABL visited as head of the HGF. I have old annual albums that show maybe 50 priest teachers. Classes started with prayer, ended with a prayer. Every subject had a Catholic input. Missionary priests used to teach after being in Africa or elsewhere, and one in particular case he used to stop class half an hour before end of classes and tell us stories about his experiences.
One such story told was this priest got a very bad infection on his leg from a cut in Africa. It went very bad. When the locals heard about this one brought him a stone and told him to put it on his cut and wrap bandages around it. 'A stone, you must be joking' he said, but tried it. Within days this festering cut was drying up and eventually cleared altogether. He could hardly believe it. He offered the stone back but was told to keep it for future cuts. He told us that many times after that he cured people of such infections that simply would not get better. I asked him where did the stone come from and had he still got it. 'A mountain' he said, and yes I still have it.
Now I was only 10 at the time and I remember wondering why someone did not go into the business of packing and selling the stone as cure alls.
I often wondered what stone it was, zeolite perhaps.
Finally, my schooling under the Holy Ghost Fathers is why I will never say 'Holy Spirit.' With me, forever it is the HOLY GHOST.
