    • When I stand before God at my particular judgement, I hope that I affirm the Catholic faith as the Nicene Creed concisely states it.  More importantly, I hope that I joyfully accept any truth that my earthly ignorance prevented me from accepting in my earthly life.

    If God reveals to you in your particular judgement that you were wrong in your understandings, such as God's approval of liturgical changes, papal authority, sedevacantism, etc., will you accept God's revelation or persist in your beliefs?

    Meg, sometimes I have a hard time understanding how those near and dear me feel on simple matters. ;)

    Thus, I feel it would be unwise of me to try to guess how God feels about liturgical changes.  Please pray for me.

    When we stand before God at our particular judgement, we will be standing accused, naked and alone and in the presence of Truth itself. Then we will have no choice to make, our time for choosing was in this world. Now the judgement will be either for or against *all* of those choices we already made. Were those choices for or against the will of God? Now is the time, with God's help to figure it out. We have to run the race as if there is only one prize - and you mean to have it!

    • I don't know how many times at requiem Masses I've heard, or read Dies Irae, but it's still sobering every time.

    THAT day of wrath, that dreadful day,
    shall heaven and earth in ashes lay,
    as David and the Sybil say.

    What horror must invade the mind
