Kind of a bunny trail to my last post on what I believe my calling is.

Nobody came for me when my parents left the church. Only the Holy Spirit. But He had me come back through a circuitous route, making observations and learning along the way. I have tenaciously held on to God throughout. It's all I had, plus His Word in the Bible. So now I feel called to rescue others with what I have learned.

The monolith I have encountered are some reluctant, brow beaten novus-ordite raised Catholics descendent from solid Catholics since maybe 2000 years ago. They KNOW, but they feel powerless. I have met many Catholics from Central and Latin America, even from Portugal, Spain, and their outlying territories. They are 20- early 30's and they want this Latin Mass back. They are the Catholics who have remained so inspite of the bad teaching because they have learned it on their own and what they learned is NOT what they see taught in the church today.

So do not fault them for attending a NO parish. It may be all they know or have. But they do want more. My job, teach them how to demand it.

I encourage people to welcome Hispanic Catholics, I feel they might just be the ones to save the church. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
