for you it's all about appearances and the Mass.  As long as you have your oasis, your haven, you couldn't care less that ROME BURNS.

So spoke the sedevacantist, who gives up all hope on Rome and the entire "novus ordo branch" of the Catholic Church. The irony.

It's hard to try to save lives when so many reject your efforts -- but you know what? You still have to try. It's not easy, it's not satisfying, it's not fun. But it's the right (and only, IMO) thing to do.

You know, Catholic teaching is that the ignorant should be instructed, and that the sinner should be admonished. Aren't the bishops, priests, and Novus Ordo faithful valid matter for that activity? Or are they all "icky, tainted by the novus ordo stench" so you give up on them, just write them all off?

They're Catholic in the meantime, until they leave the Church formally. And a Pope can't be deposed, so that gets really tricky.

But let's leave the Pope issue aside. What about the Bishops, priests, and faithful? Can it be that little old Raoul76, who has been Catholic as long as my youngest daughter (age 1), can issue summary judgments on the Catholic life of hundreds of millions of people worldwide?

Heck, with laymen like that, who needs a pope!

  • It requires a whole lot of money to be a good Gatekeeper.  The SSPV and Co. have serious money backing them.

Are there any SSPV clergy manning any gates in any other parts of the the whole wide world?

  • Well, the Internet is a pretty busy place, and they are media savvy; some of their backers are big IT guys...you tell me.

Also, every SV reads Cekada's stuff, correct me if I'm wrong.  He's still very connected to SSPV financially and otherwise.

Maybe Anti-Christ is already here, he is suppose to deceive the world, I don't know, just saying.

It seems to me the world has been turned over to Anti-Christ, just look, what was sinful prior to Vatican II, is now the accepted way of life.

It says in the book of 2John, whoever denies that Jesus Christ come in the flesh is anti-christ.  Not too many people believe that Jesus Christ is flesh and blood on the true altars throughout the world within the Blessed Sacrament.

The Mass reduced to only a pale light, Sacraments are hidden.

The entire world is in darkness.

I remember Fr. Denis would say,  "Do you really think that Anti-Christ will come with 666 imprinted on his forehead"

In otherwords we don't necessarily have to know who it is to recognize the effects.

We may be closer than anyone thinks, and then again maybe it will get much worse, maybe we will actually see this evil person.  Then the GM comes, but still in the end.

    WE WIN!

My main objection was to your earlier claim that Christ would come to earth again before a restoration.

Christ will not return until the end of the world . If you don't believe me, please ask your clergy.

It is not good to believe that Christ will return before the end, or to tell others that He will, because it  may lead to being fooled by Antichrist.

    "...deceive even the elect...."

All I am saying is no one, unless I am wrong, and someone correct me, knows how long this  restoration, as you say will be, before the Second Coming of Christ.

Maybe the restoration will only be a short time, a week or a month before Christ returns.  I don't know for sure, does anyone know?  I always thought that this restoration is a last chance for mankind to repent, convert before the Second Coming, and the end of time.

Oh. It seemed like you thought Christ would return before the end of the world when you wrote the following:

At some point in time, soon I hope, we will experience the Second Coming of Christ.  Everyone will see this event;  the dead from Adam and Eve on down through the ages  will rise and bear witness. Pretty spectacular!  Now what if God, when He comes back brings with Him, His mother and the original St.Peter. as she crushes the head of the devil again.  What happens after that, and does it matter. It will be good.  [/b][/i]

Ok I will correct you. You are wrong.

You are the only person I have ever seen allege that Father Cekada is still connected to SSPV financially and otherwise.

He is not connected to SSPV financially or otherwise.

Please give is some verifiable information to support your allegation, or drop it.

    HI Roman Catholic~

I said all SVs read Cekada's material, correct me if I'm wrong.

I should have said all English-speaking SVs read his stuff.  OK, maybe a few have stopped reading what he writes, but I use the word 'everyone' in the vernacular sense.

I will be glad to offer support for my "allegation".  I need to look up the definition of that word first, and I'll be back.

Now, you say you are in Australia, am I right

I don't think there is a de fide teaching of the chronological order of the way things will happen.  Yes, some prophesies but prophesies are open to speculation and are not de fide, unless from the Bible.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • Hi Roman Catholic,

I checked the flag beneath your name, and it looks like Australia, and I seem to remember you mentioning Australia last Winter.  You would be very far away from first-hand observation, and I am not.

I looked up 'allegation' to be certain that it has a legal connotation, which indeed it does.

I am curious as to why you would use a legal term.  Is it illegal for the two Mass centers, Immaculate Conception and St. Gertrude the Great to have close ties?  I would think not.

In the interest of preserving the Roman Catholic Faith, how could close ties between two nearby traditional Mass centers, run by clergy who went to seminary together, got kicked out together, started SSPV together, ripped off Abp. Lefebvre together, shared the property, had a Mass center and school together, and had the same families giving them money possibly be some "allegation" which I need to drop?

Maybe neither "side" would give birth to schismatic groups because they would all recognize the authority of a real Catholic pope.

The SSPX-er types (sede-plenist traditionalists) will have to get used to obeying their Pope though. They are in the habit of disregarding and disobeying people whom they believe to be valid popes.

Maybe they will continue to disagree on some matters and continue in their practice of disobeying the pope in the belief that they know better than Peter.

They may be Popes but it doesn't mean they are always right.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

I don't know what everyone reads. I agree that lots of people may read Father Cekada though, including non-svs.

Some first-hand observers are biased and blind. Remember?

And er, the SSPV are able to keep the world-wide gates via the internet, and you fear the Father Cekada is influencing SV's world-wide via the net, but for some reason we need to be proximate to get valid info?

Hey guess what, I know a lot of absolute facts about many things that do not happen in my neighborhood.

Relax, hit the dictionaries again - the word is not used purely in a legal sense.

You made made laugh though with your curiousity about an irrelevance, thanks.  :laugh2:

Thanks for offering to offer support for your allegation, before you even knew  what the word meant.

Remember though I asked for verifiable information. And please keep on point. Offer support for your allegation that Father Cekada still has financial and other ties to SSPV.
