Title: what Ley organisations do you reccomend Trads join?
Post by: soulguard on October 26, 2013, 06:56:59 AM
So who do we join if we don't agree with Vatican 2?

I used to be in the Legion of Mary but they like the freemasons were obsessed with good works, and if they convert people it is to send them to the novus ordo church.

We used to go door to door asking people do they want to join.
One time we knocked on the door of muslims, and my fellow legionnaire did not try to convert them, but I did try, in language I thought muslims would understand. Don't think it worked though, but I put a thought in their brain.

One ancient order that has not gone totally batguano crazy is the Order of Our Lady of Mercy or "Mercedarians" (O. de M.), founded by St. Peter Nolasco. Several of their parishes in the US have the weekly TLM. What intrigues me is that the order may have Mozarabic roots.

None. Do your duties well. Devote yourself to prayer and sacrifice especially for specific things, the Souls in Purgatory, a pope, reparation for blasphemy, etc. Help Catholics, especially the elderly and families with children.

If you would like to do something in common, start a weekly rosary group in your home.

I agree with Mabel.  If you can find a traditional chapel, attend there, contribute what you can, attend chapel functions, etc.  I believe organizations other than the Church are all likely to be somewhat akin to Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ.  Even the KofC which was supposedly started specifially to counter Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ turned out to be very much like masonry and now even has cross-members with masonry.  Don't be lured by notions of "the lodge" and "fellowship"--the Church is all we need and should be our focus, especially in this day that the Church is in crisis and struggle.

If you attend a diocesan TLM (which I do not recommend) then maybe try to stir interest in strong true tradition, especially with those who seem most traditional.
