BTW, it was Patrick Coffin, not Patrick Madrid.

Yeah, sorry.  Thanks for the correction.  I get those two confused sometimes.  Novus Ordo have a bevy of lay apologists, who make a living as apologetics celebrities, while the priests go silent.

This is incredibly abnormal.  Normally it will be the priests who do the work of apologetics instead of leaving the task to untrained laymen.

That's one problem I have with Taylor Marshall.  Instead of holding down a real job, he makes a living off his Catholic celebrity, jetsetting around the world taking his family on pilgrimages everywhere, while most Catholics are struggling to make ends meet.  So he knows from were his bread gets buttered, and is not going to say anything to alienate his revenue base.  I at least give Coffin some credit for taking a stand on principle, knowing full well that it means getting kicked off of EWTN radio, etc. ... and losing many of his customers.

I was aware that Coffin had left but never looked into why.  I was surprised, however, that even he would be pushed to that extent.  Must've been a hard decision to leave behind his otherwise stable gig at Catholic Answers.  Nice to see some chinks in the Novus Ordo armor though.

I just went over to Coffin's site, and I see that he's turned on the Barnhardt crew.  Thank goodness.  Barnhardt and that Mazza guy (who charges large amounts of money for his "classes", aka video talks) have been spewing a huge load of nonsense.  I'm thankful that Coffin has cut through that bit of BS here.

Of course, he continues on with the whole ministerium vs. munus absurdity.

Hey, all of you ... how about that Benny Ratzinger was a worse heretic than Bergoglio if you actually bothered to look at what the guy taught?

Really? I thought Ratzinger was the watchdog of the Faith! :jester:

Quote
Then I saw the Brazilian flag smeared with blood or red paint. The Virgin Mary appeared, took the flag and shook it, brushing the dirt off the flag.

I interpreted: “In Brazil, there will be a violent period, or a great onslaught of Communism, but the Virgin will come to the country’s rescue.”
I mean, there's literally a coup going on in Brazil right now.
