  • “When I Accepted Jesus Into my Life, it Changed my Life.”

All I see in most of these people is rotten fruit.

My dad said to me today, “  Once I accepted Jesus into my life, it changed my life and I was no longer just a Catholic.”

  • They mean "I'm a modernist and I believe that each human being has valid individual religious experiences and that God comes to us individually through these experiences...(i.e."the "Holy Spirit" works through ALL religions and you can't deny others the validity of these "experiences, feelings, revelations, ...whether they worship trees, demons, cows,  ".)

The irony is they don't really "accept" anything Jesus said. A lot of them anyway.
[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. [9] As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him

To concur with what other poster's have said.

It means that they have just had a modernist religious experience. It just happens to be true for them, there are however other valid religious experiences outside of jesus. So what they always try to do is to put so much emotionalism into their worship to try and re-create their experience. The Novus Ordites in a similar manner become just as creative by re-creating their "jesus moment." There is an old classmate (female) who told me that when she was in dance class with pure protestants she called them jesus freaks, and anyone that meets the "slain in the spirit" type of protestant/catholic type of folks will truly understand what I mean.
