  • While it is not everything, and I am still reading the piece, the number of grammatical errors within the first few, short paragraphs is not a good sign.  A man who does not know his own language is unlikely to be able to speak intelligently about such a deep subject.

  • Pope Bendedict XLV?  LOL!  Substance of his arguments aside, this guy is a joke.

This is a huge and unjustified mental leap in thinking, since non of the Popes innovations in these matters have been guaranteed by the Churches infallibility.

Yikes!  This man should have paid someone, anyone, to proofread his text.

Do we take mental leaps in something OTHER THAN thinking?  NON?  Uh, that would be "none."  He should use Popes', but does not.  Churches?  HeL-Lo-O, Dopus Maximus!!!

I hope he does not make his living via intellectual pursuits.

  • He's a priest today, and I knew him from my seminary days.

I would describe him as "quick". He talked kind of fast, etc. so he's certainly above-average intelligent. He has an Australian accent, has lots of zeal, and is ethnically Lebanese.

We actually got along well, because we were both zealous and particularly non-worldly. We were interested in world events insofar as they affected souls, etc.

Not everyone has the particular skill of writing well, like some here on CathInfo (Raoul76, Gladius, and myself come to mind)

Remember: it's one thing to know your stuff; another thing to be able to TEACH that stuff in a clear manner to others. Two different skills.

Being a clear, talented WRITER is another skill, but usually goes together with being a good teacher.

  • I still have not finished the piece, which may or may not make some excellent points, but I do not doubt the man's intelligence.  I am well aware that each of us have different gifts.  I have old friends that are intelligent, yet cannot spell their way out of a wet paper bag with gaping holes in it.  That said, if a man chooses to publish something, he should, if he needs to do so, get the help of someone who can see and correct mistakes.  This is common sense.  IMO, the number and kind of mistakes contained in this piece are embarrassing.

  • It may be a translation or was badly copied. Who knows if Taouk personally penned the version on this website. I think there are other copies on the net. You can look at those and see if the grammatical errors/typos are resolved.
