Title: Welcome to the 51st Anniversary of the Most Regrettable Speech of

51 years ago today, Pope John XXIII hung up the Keys of Peter
on a coat hook in the hall closet, and they've been collecting
dust ever since.

What a terrible, infelicitous memory.

We should probably pray for the repose of his soul, poor man.
There could hardly be anyone poorer.  He is most in need.

O, my Jesus forgive us our sins;  save us from the fires of hell,
lead all souls to heaven especially those most in need.

The M.R.S. of J23IM was the "Opening speech" of the abominable
Vatican II.  And this is the day Pope Benedict XVI chose to begin
the so-called Year of Faith, which is more than a year.  It's more
than a year of faith, too, for it's a year of TESTING our faith.  It
goes on past Christ the King all the way into November, to the
24th and Last Sunday after Pentecost.  But he used Newterms to
describe the day, which should not be any surprise.

How sad, another forgettable day!

October 11th came and went and nobody on CI wanted to share their
feelings about their memory of Vatican II being opened 51 years ago today!

Now, in Europe, Eastern USA, Central, and Mountain time, it's already
tomorrow, or, that is, October 12th.

Now our eyes turn to the 96th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun,
an event that OUTSHINES the brightest day of Vat.II or J23IM, even
his M.R.S. ~ Oh, before I forget..............

October 11th, at the time, was the Feast of the Divine Maternity of the
Blessed Virgin Mary.  But the Modernists couldn't leave that one alone!

No, they had to prepare for JPII's innovation of Mother of the Church,
when the Church doesn't need a 'mother.'  Our Lady is not "greater"
than Holy Mother Church.  But you can hardly compare them for one is
a person and the other is an institution.

But Newchurch, with its amalgamation of all false religions, was a ripe
topic for a new principle, and JPII didn't disappoint us...........

I have to be careful what I say so I don't disappoint SeanJohn and post
something that might be misconstrued as my own "idea."

Careful... it's like walking on eggs.  I've known women, who were like
that being around them............ woops.  There I go again!!! Careful!!

It is also the 1582nd aniversary of the openning of the council of Ephesus, the council that declared that Mary is the Mother of God. Theotokos

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Now that's a positive spin if I've ever seen one.

1582 -- that would make a good pin number so to remember it!!

Is that why the Feast of the Divine Maternity was Oct. 11th?

Wow I was wondering about that, that is so awesome thanks for sharing! I will never forget that now, I was wondering the origin of the Feast. I was secretly hoping that my sister's baby was going to be born on that day! False alarm man how beautiful it is to be born on a feast of Our Dear Mother  :dancing:.

+Immaculata Virgo, gaude et laetare. Alleluia Alleluia+

I was in the 8th grade, and cannot remember anything about the speech
until I read it years latter on the Internet.  Television was still in its
primitive state. No talks and discussion about the opening day of
Vatican 2 in Religion Class.  For us at that time it was a non event.
No one ever expected what really will come out of Vatican 2.
It was just the 20th ecuŠ¼enical Council of the Roman Catholic Church and
we thought it would deal with the Third Secret of Fatima, and that it
would be short. None ever expected any changes in worship, the Mass,
and the Sacraments. And that the Latin in the Mass and Sacraments
would change to English. And, that Catholic Theology, beliefs, and
practices would be thrown out.
