But as someone pointed out elsewhere, Judas did not ask Jesus for forgiveness. He just went off and hanged himself out of despair. He rejected Christ's forgiveness. That was his CHOICE. Remember that word?
Everyone has a free will. We don't want anyone to go to hell but we cannot let wishful thinking cloud our minds
