  • Yep. Father Malachi Martin called it "a satanic hoax."

Pretty reliable source there, and I've never heard a Traditional Catholic say that they ascribe to the heretical "visions" of "the lady of medjigorje" (or however you spell it.) Certainly Our Lady would be much offended by anything that woman said (whoever she is. I would likely just refer to "her" as Satan.)
    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • Medjugoji is just a money making hoax. Medjugorji has so many souvenir vendors it's rediculous. The "seers" claim that they recieve apparitions every day, they travel about and go to conferences where they practically act as fortune tellers to unsuspecting faithful who think they are consulting mystics. And I know that at least one of the seers (Ivan I believe) doesnt even go to Mass on sunday. And while every seer from Juan Diego in Mexico to the Children at Fatima has lived a life of poverty and charity, the seers of Medjugorji live in comfortable suburban homes and have their own backyard tennis courts. Just looking at their lifestyles is enough to tell that they are liars. What is a shame is that the Pope, the Holy Office and the Bishop of Medjugorji have been laying excommunications on them for the past 20-30 years or so, not to mention interdicts on Medjugorji and people just ignore it and continue to visit Medjugorji. Dont these morons read the newspaper? How can you just pass over a dozen interdicts in the news?!

  • No, or that is he used to stay away. Jim Caveziel (Christ in the Passion) has dealings with it I believe.
Course who knows what Mel will do next?
