    5) St. Teresa of Avila, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Mary Magdalene de Pazzi, St. Rose of Lima, and virtually every other female saint who was involved in mysticism, ecstasies, corporal mortification, and suffering.

What is wrong with any of those saints?

  • The Novus Ordo "scholars," like the Jєωs, are very busy little beavers when it comes to falsifying history as well as theology, or so it seems to me.

Look how they have changed the reputation of Pope Pius XII.  He has gone from being a rather ambivalent and cryptic diplomat, to the scourge of the Jєωs, and now he is suddenly the best friend of the Jєωs and the spiritual father of Vatican II.

In the 1970's four "Jesuits" were permitted access to what was supposed to be the Vatican secret archives.  There they "discovered" -- or doctored -- a series of files called the ADSS which supposedly show that Pius XII always had a special place in his heart for the Jєωs.

Actually Pius XII refused to take either side in World War II, undoubtedly knowing that both were controlled by the same socialist forces.  He did protest Hitler's policies about race, but no Pope has ever approved of exterminations of Jєωs or anyone else, whether or not that really happened.   I'll refrain from giving my opinion on that here because it will divert the thread.

I am fully with Maria-Bernada once again and I am often surprised by how people will take a quote from some Novus Ordo heretic on faith.  No one who has participated in Novus Ordo and not repented should be trusted, nor should what they have to say be repeated.  These people are like termites that steadily and relentlessly gnaw through all truth and justice.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • Let's add to the list professors such as Elaine Pagels (sp) who have exerted an enormous influence in what Maria-Bernarda described as crypto eroticism ---not to mention outright Gnosticism.

This thread is food for thought.  I remember during my student days searching the public libraries for material about the Saints and I know there is some real trash out there.  I am sorry to say that some of it influenced my work at that time.

  • To Maria-Bernada:

    Welcome to CathInfo.

I would request that you not cross-post a given post to multiple places -- it just clutters up the forum. You'll have to trust that people who really want to read your post will find it. It helps if you post it in the most appropriate location -- "build it and they will come".

If no one else cross-posts, there should be few enough posts that YOUR post will be found and read. That's the idea behind forbidding cross-posting.

In a forum where cross-posting was allowed, you'd have tons of duplicates because everyone would be drowning in duplicate posts, and they'd want their posts to get noticed -- so it would be a vicious cycle.

    I'm sure you understand.

    Thank you,

    Matthew

There are two major claims about John Vianney which I reject as ridiculous lies made up by authors. The first is that he believed in Baptism of Desire and believed a Jєω woman who died on her deathbed was saved.

The first has been believed by every catholic theologian, saint, doctor and Pope, so to call it a "ridiculous lie" betrays a serious problem on your part.  The second is held by any catholic, for the conversion of a soul can happen at any time, through the power of God.  They do not die qua Jєω, because of the religion they were objectively and visibly associated with, but rather, through a CONVERSION, they die a Christian.

I do. And I didn't know cross-posting was forbidden. I will say though, it did seem to fit in equally well in all three categories I posted them in.

    Caminus,

I'm only going to say this once, so I beg you to listen. You can respond to my threads if you want, and you can respond to my posts if you want. I can't stop you from doing that, unfortunately. Just know that after this post, I will not respond to anything you say. I want nothing to do with the dishonesty and pseudo-intellectualism that you've continually shown on this forum.

    Have a beautiful day!
