I understand, although an NO priest's refutation on sedevacantism (or many other things, for that matter) isn't all that appealing. It doesn't matter much to me though, since I'm not a sede.

A witty observation by the way: has anyone noticed that more than half of all Novus Ordo priests have a beard? It appears to be some kind of trend going on.

I do agree with the priest that sedevacantists often use out of context "proof texts" like Protestants to prove their points.

Sorry, sedevacantists are the furthest thing there is from a Protestant. We believe ALL the magisterial teaching of the Church. ALL of it, including the parts that say we are to be subject to papal encyclicals. How is it Protestant to take the Church seriously and at her word? That is stupid. And making this assertion just shows that those who hold this opinion have no defense.

Funny. I was just going to say that, more often than not, anti-sedevacantists often use out of context quotations to prove that Vatican II docuмents are completely compatible with Catholicism. Only they don't do it like the Protestants. They incorrectly connect it with other statements that actually do represent Catholic doctrine and suggest that this is what is really meant even though none of the bishops alive today accept those interpretations.

The only sedevacantists I know who take everything out of context are the Dimond brothers, and, of course, they've already excommunicated everyone in the world except for themselves.
