  • Said by a Cardinal, Prince of the Church, for your "approved" "licit" and "full communion" Conciliar Mass assisting pleasure...

But don't you dare attend a "schismatic" Society chapel!

  • That is truly maddening.

    It isn't Catholic though.

  • This is the worst ever.  It's like everything that is wrong with the Novus Ordo came together on one unenchanted evening:  A treacly pop act, a woman singer in a short skirt, a Jewish lady ( at least she talks about "our Jewish tradition" ) speaking as if she and Catholics believe the exact same thing, tribal pagan rituals... And Cardinal Mahony himself.

The only good part of the ceremony I've seen so far is when the Jewish woman says to "Cardinal" Mahony that she doesn't want him to leave the archdiocese, trying to rile the audience to applaud for him, and almost no one does.

  • These videos crystallize and bring home to me the living reality of what is wrong with the N.O. Church.

The Neo-Caths can give long rambling wordy arguments about obedience, proper "interpretations", "hermeneutics, etc. Just look at the video. It says it all. This is the cold hard reality completely approved and accepted by a Cardinal of the Church and by default, the Pope and Rome.

These videos say more than I could ever do in words. The reality on the ground requires us to save our souls by any means necessary. If we have to save them outside the official structures of the Church, as Catholics did during the Arian crisis, so be it.

  • A response to the video on CAF:

    Quote
"That video" is not the Catholic Church. It's an abuse of the Catholic Church. Why must the concentration ALWAYS be on the abuses rather than the beauty and goodness of the church?

There are abuses in every "organization," "church," "sect." Focus on the good and what is true, rather than on the abuse. For as many wierdos as you can find in the post Vatican II church, we can find just as many abuses in the SSPX group.

Concentrate on the Eucharist. The other things are insignificant. God will deal with errant priests. It's not for us to do so.

  • To be accurate - This man centered (excuse me, woman centered) pagan ceremony was not done in the House of God.
This was in the Anaheim Convention Center.

  • Those videos are evidence  plain and simple. Oh how the saints must be crying to God for justice!  All of those videos are grotesque and not abuse in the Church. It is standard protocol of the Conciliar NO Church.. not the true Catholic Church.

That is why they had a female speaker.  But all the other excesses could easily have happened during an N.O. Mass.

I live in Los Angeles and the style of presentation of this was very big-budget cheese, very L.A., very Disney.  Though purportedly Catholic, it was really just another multi-culti, multimedia event such as you'd see at Royce Hall at UCLA.

I wonder what the people who attended were thinking.  I wonder what Novus Ordo Catholics in general are thinking.  You know some of them have to be silently suffering but are trying to be obedient.  Yet at a certain point, after decades of this, it has to rub off on you.

Sometimes I meet Novus Ordo Catholics and it really does feel, at least to me, like I'm meeting someone from another religion entirely.  You know the ones -- for them everything is feel-good and self-worship.  They are probably completely unaware of Biblical history or secular history, probably know next to nothing about the saints, and are patriotic as long as they're well off, not caring much about what's happening in the world today.  They lack an apocalyptic sense, a sense of the signs of the times.  They don't feel any urgency due to the horrible things happening in the Church, because they don't see these things as horrible.  They just think America is going to keep going on forever being Number One and that they are special and blessed.

They come off exactly like modern American Protestants.  Yet on the Internet I have read posts of those still in Novus Ordo who are, thankfully, still semi-recognizable as Catholics.  If they say one thing that is Catholic-sounding, like they mention a mortal sin, you start to believe they aren't completely clueless.  Then they will say something like "I can't have a large family, I only have a three-bedroom house" and it's just

Seriously, America and Catholicism are practically antithetical.  The way people think here is just twisted, even the way the best people think is not quite right, not quite Catholic.  This is now true for almost the whole world, due to Americanization.  There is that sense of entitlement and of trying to make God fit their lifestyles rather than the other way around.  No one wants to really stand out and be different; but to be a Catholic in these times you have to be different.   I have met a couple Catholics though who have the right "feel" to them, who I can breathe around, who are on my wavelength.

As you said, PartyIsOver, there's not much else for God to do but press the reset button.  I know He doesn't need me to tell him that, or to hurry Him up, but...

Yeah I agree with you, on all the points you bring up earlier too. I get that feeling you get when I finally find someone who gets what I'm saying, about the state of the Catholic Church and how it relates to the state of the world or history. Its refreshing and I can finally be me around those people. And those people are unfortunately only 1 or 2 of the hundred or so "Catholics" I come in contact with. If my statistics are accurate, thats 1 to 2%... ugh. Well 1-2% of 1.5 billion is still alot of people, on the positive look of things.

And yeah Raoul, the apple will fall from the tree on its own without us having to do a thing.

  • That's the problem with Club Infallible. Once a person believes in an infallible man, he will believe anything. CLub Infallible is not Catholic, it is schizophrenic!
If your confirmation vows to defend the Christian faith mean anything, time to clean up this mess. Re-establish all things in Christ. (Ephesians 1:10)

Please heal this disconnect with Christianity. Don't wait for any fairy god mother to do it for you. e.g. -(only I can help you- Fatima).
