Vatican Attacks Latin Mass In Letter To all Bishops

Archbishop Arthur Roche, the anti-Catholic Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship, who has been sidelining now retired (https://gloria.tv/post/GAezeQR89vWX3eBRKbHLp7mWh) Cardinal Sarah, has launched an attack on the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM).

UnaVoceScotland.org (February 21) published the English translation (https://gloria.tv/post/HWHsvJEtybf72mQnL6k7E2wKx) of a February 19, 2020 essay written by Roche which was forwarded to all bishops.

The essay makes the unlikely claim that the New Mass is an "authentic development" of the Roman Rite, and calls its implementation an "ecclesiastical duty" - although nobody follows the Novus Ordo which is only used as an excuse for empty liturgical experiments.

Roche tells the joke that the Novus Ordo contains “more sacrificial vocabulary than was the case in the 1570 Missal” while the TLM needed to be stripped of alleged "repetitions" and "accretions.”

He believes that the introduction of the Novus Ordo was necessary due to the reception of the "theological content" of Vatican II which was aware of "a world that had changed.” However, Vatican II was only a pastoral council, and the "world that had changed" had little use for the Novus Ordo.

Roche criticises a solely "clerical vision" of the liturgy, in which the "clergy alone" are active and the faithful "passive" and where the “priest alone" celebrates. This reflects nicely the Novus Ordo reality, e.g. funerals and weddings, were the priest talks to himself because the audience doesn't even know the most basic liturgical replies.

Our church has a list of 20 jobs the faithful are expected to complete. 6 of those jobs are liturgical functions and most parishioners volunteer for these roles that the priest alone should fulfil. Whilst all the cleaning jobs rightfully suited to the faithful are mostly vacant.

Just looking at this Roche, I suspect him of sơdơmy ... has that look about him, the way his mouth is.  I wouldn't leave my sons alone with him.

In any case, this notion above that "nobody follows the Novus Ordo" is important.  There was a Jesuit priest who adlibbed his Mass, making up the "Canon" (aka "Anaphora") as he went along.  So I asked a few priests if that was OK.  They said, sure, it's permitted.  So I asked them:  "Well, what if I were a priest and adlibbed the Canon, and the rest of the Mass, and it just so happened to exactly match the Tridentine Mass."  Silence.  You see, THAT was "forbidden" ... but anything else goes.

I hope he has fun in 20 years with his nearly-empty diocese.

And you could count the number of bishops right now on one hand that aren't sodomites. This Protestant, very human-centered way of liturgy attracts the self-centered and the disordered.

That's true, but it's the wrong sacrifice.  The new mass/freemasons subtly replaced Christ's unbloody Sacrifice of the Cross with the protestant-minded "sacrifice" of Christ giving Himself to us at Holy Thursday.  This is the true doctrinal error of the new mass.  This is what makes it anti-catholic and protestant.  That's why the Modernists call it a "meal" or a "communion banquet" - because they are focused on Holy Thursday.

And THIS is the time period the SSPX says, "enough is enough! Time to place ourselves under Papal control, time to get fully regularized! If our founder +ABL were still alive, he would certainly understand!"
