  • I have heard that there are talks or ideas concerning Vatican 3. Has anyone heard of such a thing?

  • I haven't heard anything, but I wish they'd do it and just get it over with. Make their apostasy via "solemn pronouncement" so obvious to the fence-sitters like Voris, Ferrera, and the other members of False Traditionalists Inc. that they can't continue to live in denial. Francis is too stupid to make it subtle; he'd go all out. I'd like to see Voris' asinine policy statement of not criticizing his "Pope" after that!
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

  • I just googled "Vatican III" and found a whole bunch of talk on liberal media sites about rumors of Vatican III.  It seems that no one of consequence is talking about another "Council" but radical U.S. liberals are pining for one.

  • A fun fact to watch:

In 2016 the Eastern Orthodox are going to have a "Great Council" where they work out a lot of internal issues and such. It would be interesting to see if Pope Francis wants to play copy cat. It may provoke some future false union synods.

Are they really?  Do you have a link in English so that I can follow this?  I'd be interested.

Have the Orthodox invited "observers" to their Council?

  • Maybe Pope Francis will have Vatican III to undo all that went wrong with Vatican II.   :clown:

    Yeah right, I know.
Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.

  • I think liberals should be careful of what they wish for. A Vatican 3 council could bring back the TLM and restore sanity to some of the craziness that we have all been seeing.

We are long past the point of ever having the TLM be the normative, diocesan form of worldwide Mass. Some places might adopt it on a larger scale (if you've ever heard of Campos, Brazil and +de Castro Meyer) but that's it barring a miracle.

You can attribute that to 60 years of liberalism, religious indifference, Novus Ordo Missae and the overall collapse of Western Christendom.

  • Have faith, remember our Lady of Good Success. When everything seems paralyzed it will be the moment of restoration. The church has to have its three days in the tomb before it ressurects. And then the time of its ascension will be simultaneous with the descent of Christ.

    Patience.

  • If this article is any indication, and by the author's characterization, what is seen is the coming attempt at Vatican II -ization of the Orthodox Eastern Churchs.

It will be interesting to see if they surrender to modernist unorthodoxy as quickly as the western church did.(immediately)
When you see terms such as parochialism cast in a negative light one might think that someone has been reading Vatican II, and you know what the subtext of the article is saying.
