The article makes it sound like it's a little like Chairman Mao's Red Book.
For those of you who are too young to remember the Cold War, the head to the Chinese Communist Party was Chairman Mao Tse Tung (I know, they've changed the spelling since, but I'm an old dog and don't change easily). The "little red book" was a small, pocket sized book with a red cover containing quotations of Chairman Mao on numerous topics. It was said to be a book that every Chinese had and, indeed, carried. While many people read it religiously (pun intended), it was something they had to own in the same way every good German had to have a copy of Mein Kampf during the 1930s to the end of the War.
I think I'll pass on this one.
