It was the announcement of Father Gruner's death in a very untimely manner that became the elephant in the room. And it stunk mightily.
"Marcel Francois Lefebvre ... His father, an official in a textile company, was a monarchist and a devout Catholic who said daily prayers in Latin. Of his seven brothers and sisters, four others became priests or nuns.He attended a seminary in Rome that was headed by a sympathizer with Action Francaise, a far-right anti-Semitic and anti-democratic movement that was condemned by Pope Pius XI. He obtained doctorates in theology and philosophy before being ordained in 1929."f/ here (emph. DZ P) Please feel free to vet the source, I encourage you.
Hey, this is off topic. But I will acquiesce to your demands. Except for this very political paragraph, which is not surprising for this rag newspaper, the rest of the obituary of Marcel Francois Lefebvre seems very informative.
"... demands..." Dishonest.I really tried.
Well, Father rolled into Fort Erie in a beat up old van, no supporters, and a horrible albeit small allegiance to the Montreal Canadiens.( I’m a Toronto fan)
How does one post pictures?
Not seeing this. Can you post a pic of this?i think it’ll be worth it
I have several pictures of Father Gruner’s grave where neither his family nor The Fatima Center has put a simple stone on his grave. Over 2 years.
