  • Normally, I don't give these sites much credence. That just changed. This sounds very plausible to me.

  • About a year ago, a few news reporters were saying that the current pope will most likely retire or die in two years. This was in conjunction with an official biography being written.

The damage he has inflicted is great.
    Lord have mercy.

Perhaps this is why the reporter at Infowars stated that the next nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr religious leader would lead Chrislam.

Lord have mercy and save us.

  • Nah.  There's too much Catholic prophecy regarding the holy pope and the Great Monarch.  It's difficult to know what to make of the St. Malachi prophecies at times.

You will have to study the prophecies and come to your own conclusion.

I just don't see Francis being the last pope without there first having been the prophesied Great Monarch and Holy Pope.

  • St. Malachy never said this would be the last pope, nor did he say what would happen following the destruction of Rome.  If anything, it appears to me to be a prophecy of the chastisement and the three days of darkness.

    Quote
Petrus Romanus ("Peter the Roman").In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus: quibus transactis civitas septicollis diruetur, & Judex tremêdus judicabit populum suum. Finis.

(In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End.).

Exactly, the judgment mentioned in St. Malachy's prophecy does not necessarily have to be the Last Judgment. It could well mean judgment of the world for its sin through some sort of material chastisement, like Three Days of Darkness (personally I believe in TDoD). I think there is too much in the Book of Revelation and reliable private revelations which was not yet fulfilled to expect the Last Judgment after Francis pontifficate (unless it will be a very long one).

Honestly, I never quite knew what to make of St. Malachy's prophecy - some claim its a forgery made in the late 16th century for the purposes of the Conclave, and in fact it is true that after 1590 the descriptions of the Pontiffs are getting much more vague. On the other hand, there are some very clear "hits" after 1590 - for example "from baths of Etruria" for Pope Gregory XVI.

  • Speaking of the Prophecy, here's my take on it if anybody's interested:

    http://www.cathinfo.com/catholic.php/The-Prophecy-of-the-Popes-Plus-One-Plus-Ultra-A-Debunking

It doesn't exactly save it, but in light of Francis' disastrous stay in the Vatican, at least it could divorce us from the idea that he needs to fit "Peter the Roman."

Isn't the Green Monarch the current EP Bart?
