Sadly, bad actors such as this man make all traditional Catholics look bad in the eyes of the media and the larger public.

His only saving grace is that Kansas hasn't put a man to death in 60 years. But he's getting life. And probably decided by a jury in about 30 seconds.

I find it odd that they are giving no details about why they think that this man is the suspect for the murder except that he wrote letters to a local newpaper years before speaking out against Vatican II etc... 🤔

Okay, so this article says that witnesses saw him leave the scene and walk to the local sheriff's office...
"According to reporting from the Kansas City Star, witnesses saw Hermesch leave the scene and walk to the Nemaha County Sheriff's Office. His brother works there as a dispatcher."

But... If he had actually murdered the priest, why would he do that? It makes me wonder if maybe he is being framed. But who knows these days...
