WM Review is covering the story:

https://www.wmreview.org/p/breaking-transalpine-redemptorists

Here's a quote:

"The WM Review reached out to Fr Michael Mary F.SS.R. for comment. He kindly provided the following:

“Since March 2025, we have been substantially supported by S.D. Wright of The WM Review, following our reading of Mr. Matthew McCusker’s articles on LifeSiteNews. Mr Wright gave his time to explain my initial questions, to counter the false information propagated by the Salza‑Siscoe camp, and to direct me to scholarly articles by a German priest that answered them in depth. I later encountered Bishop Roy in Canada. What Messrs Wright and McCusker, and Bishop Roy share is unfeigned charity—caritate non ficta. Our community has patiently awaited and sincerely hoped for this letter and declaration.”'

So if they elect their own Pope who denies EENS are they then schismatics?

Both the SSPX 1.0 Brand Supplied Jurisdiction Model, and the SSPX Brand 2.0 Sanborn Thesis Model decompose the Church, by placing the teaching and sanctifying office in men they claim have no authority whatsoever, except to dispense Sacraments to people who ask for them, ad inifnitum; and by placing the disciplinary office of the Church in men who are, categorically, not members of the Church.

Since the 90's especially, anyone who came to the conclusion that they had to flee the novus ordo in order to preserve their faith, wound up in one of two camps: the SSPX 1.0 (SSPX proper, Resistance, and independents who follow that line) or the Sedevacantist 2.0 (thesis, totalist or opinionista). Nowhere in this landscape could anyone find a Bishop or clerical association that refused to decompose the Church in this way. Everyone on both sides of what is really only an ostensible divide got the same menu options. "Rome has the power; we have the Faith and the Sacraments."

So, only the ignorant claim that the Thesis is R&R (as you call it SSPX Brand 2.0).  Simple-minded fools who have the dogmatic SV mentality that I refer to as mental "vapor lock', where they're stuck in false dichotomies and canot "see" or "accept" distinctions.

So, if they allow priests to vote, we'll have Pope Pivarunas I ... or Hadrian the VIII, if the CRMI can dust off Schuckhard's old Hadrian VII outfit.

Problem there of course is that, per Totalistm, I'd have to declare Papa Pivarunas to be a manifest heretic who's outside the Church and therefore that he had fallen from the papacy, since the CMRI deny EENS dogma, having twice published an article entitled "The Salvation of Those Outside the Church."
