The Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer have announced their conclusion that the post-conciliar claimants to the papacy are illegitimate, and called for an Imperfect General Council.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I just logged in and posted. I didn't realize you had already started a thread. I'll ask Matthew to delete mine.

The Redemptorists are calling for the imperfect council. Interesting.

Good timing for dramatic effect. Their announcement is published on the Feast of the feisty St. Athanasius.

St. Athanasius, pray for us!!

POOR Simeon:  doing tons of research on "X"....weren't u taking a recharge this weekend? WEll*come  back :)

I am confused about the Redemptorists, ...so what is going on,? How to differentiate between the  "resistance" group and the Rome approved group?.  Name of the Congregation?

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
St Athanasius, pray for us.

Wonderful, my friend!!! :laugh1:

I've been all morning in the Sylvester Berry book. Great stuff!!! I may be recharging the brain, but did not turn it off!! This brain is doing today what it loves best - studying! :laugh2:

The Transalpine Redemptorists, led by Fr. Michael Mary, were originally affiliated with the SSPX. They shared the RnR position with them.

I cannot remember exactly when. I'm going to say it was maybe around 2009 or 2010, they made a deal with Rome, and covered themselves in the maggot-eaten, feces-ridden mantle of that demonic coven.

Recently they made a news splash by announcing that they just couldn't take the smell of rotting corpse any more, and were leaving the novus ordo.

I think they made a beeline to Bp. Roy, who conditionally ordained one of their priests.

Now they are firmly and publicly both sedevacantist and advocates of the imperfect council.

Things never fail to be interesting, right?
