Timothy McVeigh Sightings at St. Mary's

So, I was reading E Michael Jones' latest braindead attack on Traditional Catholicism, and I am reminded again (in this stupid book he cites) of this story that Timothy McVeigh had been sighted a short time before the OKC bombings.

Uhm, that was actually my brother Steve, who bore a very strong physical resemblance to McVeigh.  He had been sent to St. Mary's as a seminarian after his fourth year, being railroaded out because he had accused Fr. Urritigoity of Modernism, and he decided to leave, since he felt that he was just being strung along.  At that point, he also stopped wearing the cassock.

Not only was he sighted as McVeigh at St. Mary's but was also sighted at multiple points that perfectly matched his drive home from St. Mary's to Northeast Ohio, and most of these "sightings" actually matched his exact location at the time they were reported.

We joked about that for years afterward.

Fr. Urrutigoity was at Winona with Lad and me. Later, I spent a brief time with Urrutigoity's Society of St. John -- the community was a disaster and nothing as it was presented to be! I left because of the financial horrors about which I was made aware. Soon after I left the sɛҳuąƖ abuse cases emerged.

Fr. U's mother knew Pope Jean Paul II as a friend, from what I was told.

  He was very talented, Specialist in Chant, and a leader. He always sought the ancient beauty of the Church, and if you ever see his first Newsletter announcing his "Society of St. John" you will understand. We could almost qualify it as "Antique Glory of Tradition", which is not evil in itself, but when $$ becomes unaccounted for, and his other ventures, and his focus on the glamorous aspect of life, there is a problem. His cassock was pure fine wool, if you get the picture.

  He was an OK friend in early 1989, but then he had a "Clique", complete with High masses in secret, incense Rosaries by invitation, and seems to have been granted special privileges by Priests.

+W gave him 48 hours to leave.
He probably need prayers today.
