God will decide if those Williamson Consecrations were necessary or not. Just as God will decide whether the Pivarunas-Dolan Consecration was necessary.
Sir, the problem is that the Church with God's authority has already judged on the matter of episcopal consecrations without apostolic mandate, see Canon 953, Ad Apostolorum Principis by Pope Pius XII and many other authoritative texts. Not even the dire need for valid sacraments that we are facing right now can justify that because epikeia cannot be invoked against natural law, and the nature of the episcopacy is hierarchical. Consequently, traditionalist bishops who claim to have no authority are like "square circles", a theological impossibility. Fr.
