I don't care for the thread title.  He's owed a certain amount of respect as an Archbishop of the Catholic Church, one who was highly trusted by Popes Pius XI and Pius XII.

So it should at least refer to him as Archbishop Thuc, and putting the term "Heel" in the same expression is offensive and disrespectful.

At best, one could argue that Archbishop Thuc made some imprudent judgments.

Archbishop Thuc, just like Archbishop Lefebvre, will always be a hero to me. In fact, I proudly belong to a parish in which its bishop and priests are descended from the Thuc line. My bishop was consecrated in 1977 and even the heretical Novus Ordo Church recognizes that my bishop's consecration, priests' ordinations and parish's sacraments are 100% valid. Therefore if anyone badmouths either Archbishop Thuc or Archbishop Lefebvre and also considers himself or herself a Traditional Catholic then shame on that person. Both Archbishops are and will always be heroes of the faith.

Yeah, I'm curious too, since the only consecrations +Thuc himself did prior to the early 1980s were the Palmar ones ... and those were in 1976, not 1977.
