As far as Angelus Press books go, I have one I'm about to read:
The Problem of the Liturgical Reform
A Theological and Liturgical Study
by the SSPX
Second printing (Aug 2001)
Fr Wickens in Christ Defended highly recommends Michael Davies' Apologia No. I & II back in 1988. He says they are a history of ABL and his contacts with Rome, bishops, and Vatican congregations since right after the council. He's hoping for a volume 3.
Has anyone here reads those?
It would be good to get some of these books republished if they are hard to come by.
Whatever happened to The Neumann Press? I can't find info on them.
It's unfortunate that Angelus Press hasn't printed the Michael Davies' books that you listed above, since at least 2009, I think. It's very odd.
I have Davies' Liturgical Revolution volumes 2 and 3. They are excellent. They provide a detailed history of those days during the Vll Council (volume 2), and when the New Mass was sadly instigated (volume 3). I also have Davies' Apologia Pro Marcel Lefebvre, volume 3.
It seems that Michael Davies good history of those days is being sadly forgotten. Especially when it's not that easy to find these books, except on E-bay and Amazon. Angelus Press does have two of Davies' Liturgical Revolution books that can be purchased by digital download.
Edited to add: it looks like Davies' Liturgical Revolution was published by Angelus Press last year - 2023, its eighth printing. But I can't find the books for sale on the Angelus press website.
