  • I wrote about this speech of "Father" Cantalamessa in another thread, the one about SSPX being as extreme as home-aloner sedes.  I can't believe more people aren't talking about what was blatantly a staged insult on Good Friday.  Even the "leak" about Ratzinger's possible involvement in covering up a scandal was probably timed and staged.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • This Fr. Cantalemessa is he by any chance connected to the Capuchin who have created the satanic Padre Pio temple in San Giovanno Italy?

He seems to be a very shady character.

  • Elizabeth, of course he's a shady character.  He's a friend of Fr. Benedict Groeschel!

On another note, Hoffman says that Benedict is not Catholic.  I wonder if he knows that you have to be a Catholic to be a pope?

  •  Hi Alexandria,

Is Groeschel a Capuchin also?  I can't remember his habit-but I do remember his liberalism, and compassion for predatory clergy.  He was so soft on them in a public interview that I was sickened.  In hindsight, he appears to have been the gatekeeper shrink for perverts.

I'm still shocked about the information about the occultic Capuchins you showed me.  I wish there was more follow-up on the analysis of the architecture.

As for Mr. Hoffmann, at least he agrees with me on Card. Law, who brings to mind La Sallette.

  • Elizabeth, he used to be a Capuchin and left in 1988 I think to start his own order.

  • The only bishop to defend Calvary
    against its substitution by Auschwitz

    :incense:

Fortunately he is not the only Bishop that defends the church.    Why isnt he still speaking out in defence of the Church, even tho hes supposedly silenced by another Bishop?
We looked for leadership, and  didnt get it

  • He is obedient to his Superior, I think.  Bp. Williamson's opinions of WW2 are not quite in the category of defense of the Church,or are they?

  •  :sign-thread-hijacked:Emerentiana,   the way the Willaimson case has been handled is a very disappointing.

I wish Bp. Feelay had told Whomever to bug off, take a hike etc.  That faction can never be appeased and to me it is beyond naive to imagine the possibility of good will on the other end.

  • I am curious, why does the "papal household" need a preacher? Is not the Pope a capable enough preacher himself? or should be?
Proud "European American" and prouder, still, Catholic

  • Here is the latest comment about Bishop Williamson and his handling by Bishop Fellay thats on Traditio.com.

    April 12, 2010 - Ferial Day
SSPX Lay Member's International Letter Charges that Superior General Fellay
Personally Engineered Senior Bishop Williamson's Downfall
From: James, An SSPX Lay Member

SSPX's Senior Bishop Richard Williamson Forced to Flee Argentina in Mufti
Now a Long-time SSPX Lay Member Has Sent out a Circular Letter to the World
Charging that Superior General Bernie Fellay Personally Engineered Williamson's Downfall
Bishop Richard Williamson's "h0Ɩ0cαųst Heretic" show-trial is apparently set to begin on April 16, 2010. I have been a regular attendee of SSPX chapels throughout the United States for the last thirteen years. Nevertheless, I would be less than honest if I did not admit to having become utterly appalled at witnessing the ongoing treatment that Bp. Williamson has received at the hands of the SSPX Superior General and certain other SSPX clergy as a result of a few comments he made on one occasion concerning an event in history, which is commonly referred to as the h0Ɩ0cαųst. The utterly shameless and uncharitable treatment that he received speaks much more about the ones giving it than the one receiving it.

I have invested heavily in the SSPX, and I don't like to see its integrity compromised in any way. I believe that when one of its four bishops is repeatedly ridiculed by certain of his fellow clergy in the SSPX, and stigmatized and treated as some sort of pariah/marginalized outcast, this should be a real cause of concern. Bp. Fellay, the youngest of the SSPX bishops, has derogatorily referred to Bp. Williamson, the oldest of the SSPX bishops, like unto "uranium" [radioactive]. Bp. Fellay has also derisively compared Bp. Williamson to a "grenade," and this in immediate response to Novus Ordo priest [sic] who was interviewing Bp. Fellay and who had just got done mocking Bp. Williamson by referring to him as a "loose cannon."

Rather than tell the sworn enemies of Jesus Christ to take a hike, Bp. Fellay disgraced his fellow bishop by firing him from the seminary in Argentina. One SSPX priest told me that this was done because of, and after, the imposition placed on Bp. Williamson by the Argentinian government to leave the country. Actually, nothing could be farther from the truth. The decision by Bp. Fellay to can Bp. Williamson was taken and conveyed well before any notice to leave came from the Argentinian government. Indeed, what the Argentinian government did to Bp. Williamson might very well have never come about if Bp. Fellay had supported his older brother in arms rather than bow to pressure by disdainfully disarming him. It wasn't enough to sack Bp. Williamson, however. To add to the disgrace, there was the well known gag order placed on him.

The Society's 12 million rosary campaign has drawn to a close. Sunday after Sunday many of the SSPX chapels' attendees have been badgered about praying their rosaries, tallying their "numbers," and getting them turned in. We read that Bp. Fellay at the Easter Sunday Mass he celebrated "invited all the faithful to pray for the Holy Father who suffers from the media attacks." Query as to whether His Excellency Bp. Fellay has ever once asked the faithful to pray for Bp. Williamson "who suffers from the media attacks." [The contents are from a circular letter furnished to the TRADITIO Fathers.]
